The “Making of Eve Clone Babel Documentation I” series consists of digital prints that depict “Eve Clone” in various forms, standing with outstretched arms atop the Tower of Babel—an image evoking pride and dominion over the world. The series features different styles, including hand-drawn sketches, metallic textures, and skin-toned aesthetics, symbolizing the “Eve Clone” traversing different eras in distinct forms. These include:
• “Making of Eve Clone Babel Documentation IA”, which merges “Eve Clone” with the “Vitruvian Man”;
• “Making of Eve Clone Babel Documentation IB”, representing the “Great Image”; and
• “Making of Eve Clone Babel Documentation IC”, referencing the “Whore of Babylon”.
The cities surrounding the Tower of Babel are composed of contemporary landmarks that I captured using the Google Maps system, such as the Empire State Building in New York, Taipei 101, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the United Nations Headquarters, and the European Union buildings. These 3D cities are deliberately appropriated to emphasize humanity’s pride in its technological achievements. These cities are then blended and reconstructed to form a hyper-spatial mega-city: the New Babylon.
Throughout the “Making of Eve Clone Babel Documentation I” series, I intentionally preserve visual traces of the digital creation process—such as 3D software interface icons, symbols, and dimensions—to highlight the artificiality and digital origin of the work. The pieces are printed using digital UV printing on aluminum plates, conveying the grandeur and splendor of the Babylonian city. I then handwrite relevant Bible verses and add hand-drawn lines and patterns, layering traditional and digital techniques to explore the complex relationships between “Eve Clone,” the “Tower of Babel,” technological civilization, and biblical prophecy—expressed through a unique conceptual and visual language.
